The deputy director-general of the Health Ministry Itamar Grotto said Tuesday that the coming week will be “critical” to halting the spread of the coronavirus in Israel.
“The coming week will be the most critical and during it we’ll monitor the number of newly tested people. I assume that after two weeks we’ll know how we’re progressing. If there’s a jump like in Italy we’ll move to more severe steps,” he said.
He adds: “The general message is to remain at home. The more severe the lockdown is, the shorter it will be. It’s preferable that someone who wants to buy food does this by delivery rather than going to the supermarket.”
