Israeli prof. is joint winner of Abel Prize for Mathematics

Prof. Hillel Furstenberg of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is the joint winner of the 2020 Abel Prize for Mathematics, widely viewed as the "Nobel Prize for math."
The 84-year-old American-Israeli shares the prize with Prof. Gregory Margulis of Yale University.
