Police on Thursday have broken up a protest convoy of dozens of Israelis driving down Route 1 from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem with black flags waving from their cars in a demonstration against Likud Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein’s decision to close parliament.
It is unclear why the protest was stopped as the drivers were not in violation of coronavirus guidelines.
