Israel Police has issued a statement Thursday flatly rejecting claims by Blue & White lawmakers that it arrested protesters from the anti-Likud convoy to the Knesset on orders from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“We reject in disgust all the futile attempts to drag the police into the political discourse,” the statement read. “No one is above the law or above the public health orders issued by the Health Ministry, regardless of his or her political views.”
