AG Mandelblit to okay invasive civilian surveillance measures to fight coronavirus

Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit is set to increase the involvement of Shin Bet security agency in the national effort against coronavirus and approve more invasive civilian surveillance measures, to allow more accurate mapping of infection hotspots and conduct epidemiological reports quicker and more efficiently.
Mandelblit is expected to approve most of the state's requirements under strict regulatory conditions and will head a team that will oversee this activity.
