The population of the State of Israel numbers 9,190,000 - 171,000 more than last year, according to data published by the Central Bureau of Statistics ahead of the 72nd Independence Day.
Some 74% of the country's residents (6,806,000) are Jews, 21% (1,930,000) are Arabs and the rest are defined as "others".
