Education Ministry DG Shmuel Abuav welcomes the government decision to partially reopen the school system.
"We are working night and days to prepare the schools for a gradual return to routine," he says.
"We have formulated detailed plans to meet the needs [of the coronavirus regulations] and will continue to monitor and close the gaps that remain, while simultaneously working to restore the entire educational system."
