Israeli government on Wednesday voted to ban all traditional bonfires for the holiday of Lag BaOmer, which is set to start on May 11 and end on May 12, out of fear it might lead to another mass spike in coronavirus cases.
Earlier, the government mulled allowing the lighting of bonfires in private homes and gardens.
