Police officers on Thursday rescued a soldier when his car was surrounded and attacked by residents of the ultra-Orthodox Mea Shearim neighborhood of Jerusalem.
Several residents gathered around the soldier's vehicle and threw various objects at him.
Police who were called to the scene began searches of the area in an effort to detain those involved.
