The number of patients still battling coronavirus in Israel has dropped under 5,000 for the first time in over a month and currently stands at 4,962 of 16,436 confirmed cases, the Health Ministry reported Friday evening.
Among these figures are 78 patients in serious condition and 63 of them are receiving respiratory support, 54 patients are in moderate condition. The rest display only mild or no symptoms at all.
The ministry also reported that the number of coronavirus tests conducted on Thursday was 10,137.
Since the onset of the pandemic in Israel about two months ago, 245 Israelis have succumbed to COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus.
