Some 200 people have been arrested during clashes between officers and ultra-Orthodox Jews at Mount Meron.
Police said those arrested “attacked officers, threw rocks toward them and forcibly resisted dispersing.”
The clashes came after people broke into Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai’s gravesite at Mount Meron, which emergency ordinances sharply limited access to during Lag BaOmer to prevent spreading of the coronavirus.
