Tel Aviv mayor Ron Huldai on Monday sued Likud minister Miri Regev for NIS 500,000 for alleged defamation after she claimed during the April elections that he banned the Jewish tradition of wearing tefillin in public spaces in the city.
Hudai demanded compensation on her part for "publicizing lies against him on various media outlets."
