Knesset Speaker calls opening day in Netanyahu trial 'lowest point for Israel's judiciary'

|
Commenting on the beginning of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trial on Sunday, Likud Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin said that the day will be remembered as "the lowest point for Israel's judiciary."
Writing in a Facebook post, Livin said: "Israel deserves a fair, equal and unbiased justice system. Therefore today's trial is not only of Benjamin Netanyahu, but also the future of Israel democracy and its judiciary. Those who know Prime Minister Netanyahu, his works and his complete commitment to the State and citizens of Israel, knows he has been severely wronged."
