Netanyahu requests to investigate police officials he says threatened him

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday has requested the Department for Internal Investigations to launch a probe into what he calls threats, reportedly of senior police officials, that were aired on Hebrew media.
According to Channel 12 News, police officials praised investigators' conduct during Netanyahu's criminal process and said that the premier will not get any leniencies if Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit decides to launch another investigation into suspected corruption allegations against him.
"Investigators did an excellent job and ignored all the pressures that were applied on them [during Netanyahu's investigation]. This will be the case even if the attorney general decides on another investigation against Netanyahu in the stock case – he'll get no leniencies."
Netanyahu called the quote "an explicit threat meant to deter criticism."
The stock case refers to an alleged conflict of interests Netanyahu had in the purchase of three submarines and four patrol boats for the Israeli Navy from German conglomerate ThyssenKrupp.
