Senior Palestinian official Saeb Erekat attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday over Israel's intentions to annex parts of the West Bank and its potential ramifications for the Palestinian independence dream.
"Netanyahu will destroy the Palestinian Authority," he said in an interview at the Ynet studio. "What Netanyahu does with the annexation is destroying the path to a two-state solution. Throughout history countries and empires have collapsed because of this kind of thinking. What we need is peace, and peace cannot exist with settlements, apartheid, and occupation."
