Schools, synagogues in Ashdod set to shutter due to virus outbreak

According to municipal sources, schools and synagogues in the southern city of Ashdod will be shuttered starting Friday in an effort to stem a coronavirus outbreak in the town.
The measure will be brought for government approval later Thursday.
If approved, restrictions will remain in place for seven days.
