Israel confirms coronavirus cases exceed 1,000 per day for first time

Israel on Friday confirmed its daily number of new coronavirus cases exceeded 1,000 per day for the first time.
The Health Ministry on Friday morning reported that 1,107 people were confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 24-hour period, bringing the number of people ill with the virus to 9,618.
A total of 325 people have died from coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic.
There are 70 people hospitalized in serious condition, including 27 patients are on ventilators.
