The government on Wednesday was considering imposing more restrictions on the public after the head of the National Security Council, Meir Ben Shabbat said steps already in place would not be sufficient to stop the spread of coronavirus.
Ben Shabbat said the daily infection rate should not surpass 100, while Israel has seen at least three days in the past week where more than 1,000 people have been confirmed as infected in a 24-hour period.
