Knesset strikes down judicial inquiry committee bill

|
Knesset on Wednesday voted against a bill to form a committee that will investigate conflicts of interest within Israel's judicial system. Fifty-four Knesset members voted against the bill and 43 voted in favor.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was absent from the meeting. Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz was also absent due to him being in isolation after coming in contact with a confirmed coronavirus patient.
