Health Minister Yuli Edelstein hosted a celebration for his wife's birthday in the presence of dozens of participants shortly before he announced a prohibition on private gatherings of more than 20 people as part of the measures to rein in the spread of coronavirus, Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation (KAN) reported on Wednesday.
Edelstein claimed that the event was organized according to health regulations.
