Education Minister Yoav Galant appointed on Thursday Colonel Amit Edry to replace outgoing Education Ministry Shmuel Abuav, who announced his resignation last week.
Edry, 51, has a 26-year military record behind him and he had served in senior positions at several government ministries in the past.
