Israel signs deal to bring 25,000 agricultural workers from Thailand

Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi signed an agreement with the Thai government on Monday meant to regulate the arrival of 25,000 agriculture workers from Thailand.
"This agreement is important and vital for thousands of Israeli farmers," said Ashkenazi during a ceremony at the Thai embassy.
"This deal I signed promises the continued existence of agriculture industry and safeguard the rights of Thai workers working in the field in Israel."
