The government has decided not to extend the closure imposed on the ultra-Orthodox city of Beitar Ilit despite the continued increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases detected there.
One in four tests for coronavirus is found to be positive, according to the Center for information and Knowledge.
There are at least 680 residents currently battling the virus, constituting more than 1% of residents.
Only four other cities have more cases of coronavirus.
