Defense Minister Benny Gantz has instructed the military to increase Home Front Command assistance to local government in 25 localities with rising COVID-19 cases.
Gantz also told officials to expedite the transfer of sick residents to dedicated hotels to isolate them from members of their families and their communities.
Three additional hotels are expected to be opened for coronavirus patients in the course of this week.
