Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Abbas Mousavi said on Thursday that his country has been coming under thousands of cyber attacks on its infrastructure, which he believes launched by the U.S.
"Iran is maintaining its right to respond in a similar manner at a time of its choosing," he said.
Mousavi said the recent fires reported in the Islamic Republic are unrelated to the cyber aggression.
