Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tells members of his Likud faction that the government must pass a state budget quickly in order to help the country as it battles the coronavirus pandemic.
"Israel doesn't need elections, it needs a budget and as soon as possible," Netanyahu says, after sources claimed that he intended to take the country to the polls for the fourth time since April 2019.
"Every economist says it - if we pass the budget, we can open the schools in September," he says.
