Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday agreed to the demands of ultra-Orthodox ministers to increase the number of worshipers in synagogues to match the criteria used in cultural events.
The number in each house of prayer would be determined according to the size of the synagogue and the rate of infection in the city or neighborhood in which it is located.
The decision is set to be approved by the ministerial committee on the coronavirus on Monday.
