Israel's representative to the United Nations Gilad Erdan, wrote a letter to the members of the UN's Security Council, requesting UNIFIL's powers be extended to areas where Hezbollah operates in southern Lebanon. Erdan's request comes a day after Hezbollah forces fired at an IDF force near the Lebanon border.
