Israel on Wednesday evening recorded 2,386 new coronavirus diagnosis, the highest daily rise since the start of the pandemic.
Also reported were 8 additional virus-related fatalities, putting the national death toll at 969.
Out of the 23,261 patients currently battling the pathogen, 423 are in serious condition, with 125 connected to ventilators.
At least 97,234 Israelis have so far recovered from the disease.
