Records of de-legitimization set and broken says Supreme Court Chief Justice

|
Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Israel Esther Hayut said in a speech on Thursday, "In the past year, records of blackening, de-legitimization and inciting discourse have been set and broken. They seeped into the courtrooms."
"There are attempts to present the judiciary as bureaucrats and as a body that seeks to usurp power," added Hayut. "Claims of this kind seek to impose political considerations in the process of appointing judges."
