Education Ministry stats: 1,368 institutions closed since start of academic year

Education Ministry data shows that 1,368 educational institutions in Israel have shut down since the start of the academic year on Sept. 1 due to coronavirus infections among staff and students.
According to the data, 347 schools and 1,021 kindergartens have shut down after 1,817 members of faculty or students tested positive for the virus, including 186 who live in areas with a high infection rate.
