With 3,496 new infections confirmed Israel has over 30,000 active coronavirus cases

According to the Health Ministry 3,496 new coronavirus cases were confirmed on Tuesday bringing the number of active patients to 30,079.
There are 458 people hospitalized in serious condition of which 138 are on ventilators.
Fatalities as a result of COVID-19 have risen to 1,040 Israelis.
On Monday Israel conducted 44,454 tests for the virus with an 8% positivity rate.
