Israeli coronavirus deaths near 1,200 as more people put on ventilators

The Health Ministry said that after five additional deaths from COVID-19 reported Friday the fatality rate has reached 1,196 since the start of the pandemic.
Five more people have been put on ventilators in the course of the day breaking another record of 158 patients.
There are 581 people in serious condition of the 1,195 hospitalized for treatment of the virus with 47,851 active cases.
