Twenty-six patients died from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the official death toll to 2,167, the Health Ministry said Saturday evening.
The ministry reported 1,469 people tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, after 34,640 tests had been conducted, putting the contagion rate at 4.5%.
At least 689 patients are in serious condition, of whom 238 are ventilated.
