Saeb Erekat, senior negotiator for the Palestinian Authority was evacuated on Sunday from his home in Jerico to the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem for treatment of his COVID-19 after the PA submitted a request with Israeli authorities.
Erekat was diagnosed with the virus earlier in the month and has become increasingly ill.
Three years ago, he underwent a lung transplant in the United States.
