Israel reported 473 new coronavirus cases since midnight Monday, placing the contagion rate at 2.2%, a slight increase compared to the same figure in recent days.
The Health Ministry said 385 patients are in serious condition, of whom 163 are ventilated. The official death toll has gone up to 2,579.
