The Health Ministry on Wednesday reported 831 new coronavirus cases confirmed on Tuesday after 40,832 tests conducted.
There are currently 365 seriously ill patients being treated in hospitals with 162 of them on ventilators.
Since the start of the pandemic 2,592 Israelis have succumbed to the virus.
