The Health Ministry said 754 new coronavirus cases were confirmed on Sunday after close to 37,000 tests conducted showing an 0.92 positivity rate up from Wednesdays' 0.88.
There are currently 353 people hospitalized in serious condition in the country's hospitals, with 154 of them on ventilators.
The death toll remains on 2,597 fatalities since the start of the pandemic.
