The French embassy in the United Arab Emirates called on French residents to maintain vigilance, especially in "tourist areas and expatriate communities" after an attack in the Saudi city of Jeddah.
The embassy is in contact with the Emirati authorities, which remain committed to ensure high level security for the French community, a statement from the diplomatic mission said.
