President Reuven Rivlin met on Wednesday with Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, at the President's Residence in Jerusalem.
"This is a new era of friendship and cooperation," said Rivlin. "This new friendship between Israel and Bahrain, as well as between other countries in our region, makes it clear that peace is possible, and the world will not wait."
On the Palestinians, Rivlin said: "We are not decreed to live together, we are meant to live together. It is time to build trust and make peace."
