The Likud party on Wednesday attacked Blue & White Chairman and Defense Minister Benny Gantz after it was revealed the defense establishment was mulling establishing an inquiry committee into the alleged submarine graft case.
"Only four months ago Gantz explained that there was no reason to investigate the submarine affair, because even the attorney general did not find a reason to open an investigation on the matter," said Likud in a statement.
"Now all of a sudden [Gantz] is 'considering' [an investigation]. It would be better for Blue & White to join the prime minister in working together to save the lives and livelihoods of Israeli citizens, instead of engaging in ridiculous political tricks."
