A 37% rise in calls to rape centers reported during first coronavirus wave

The Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel reported on Monday a rise of 37% in calls into the centers' hotlines during the first coronavirus lockdown in comparison to the same period in 2019.
62% of calls referred to sexual assaults against children.
