Israel reports over 1,000 daily COVID-19 cases for the first time in over a month

The Health Ministry reported Thursday morning that over 1,000 Israelis had tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours for the first time in over a month.
Health authorities reported 1,069 new confirmed daily cases, the highest tally since October 21, out of over 60,000 coronavirus tests conducted. The national infection rate stood at 1.8%.
There are 510 COVID-19 patients hospitalized across the country, 282 of them in serious condition and 122 patients are on ventilators.
The national coronavirus death tally is 2,826.
