The Health Ministry said on Sunday that 569 new cases of coronavirus cases were confirmed on Saturday out of 17,472 tests conducted showing a 3.3% positivity rate, which continues to rise.
There are currently 237 COVID-19 patients in serious condition being treated in hospitals with 112 on ventilators.
Since the start of the pandemic, 2,854 people have succumbed to the virus.
