An Israeli-made coronavirus vaccine might be available by the summer of 2021, a chief scientist said Monday.
Head of the Israel Institute for Biological Research, which is developing the vaccine, Prof. Shmuel Shapira said that they are planning to produce 15 million doses.
He also said that contrary to other vaccines, the Israeli one requires only one injection.
"We have finished the first development phase five days ago, and are starting with the second phase in ten days and the third one in April," Shapira said.
