Ex-Quartet envoy to Gaza James Wolfensohn dies at 86

Former World Bank president James Wolfensohn, who also served as a special envoy for Israel’s disengagement from Gaza, has died at his home in Manhattan at the age of 86.
He was the envoy to the Gaza Strip for the Middle East Quartet, made up of the U.S., Russia, the UN and EU.
His wife, Elaine, predeceased him by three months and he is survived by three children and seven grandchildren.
