Opposition leader Yair Lapid said Wednesday following a preliminary vote to dissolve the Knesset, the dispersal of the parliament is "the first step" on the way to a new government.
"The dissolution of the Knesset is not a victory, it is the first step towards another government," Lapid said on his Twitter account.
"A first step is to repair the damage that Blue & White did by joining the [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu government ... now is the time to form a government that will take care of the public headed by Yair Lapid."
