A moderate, 5.5 magnitude earthquake off Turkey's Mediterranean coast was felt Saturday afternoon throughout central and northern Israel, the Geological Survey of Israel confirmed.
The epicenter appears to have been some 436 kilometers northwest of the northern city of Nahariya.
