The Defense Ministry on Monday is set to present to the coronavirus cabinet with an outline for those returning from red coronavirus countries, which shortens the mandatory quarantine period from 14 to 10 days.
According to the outline, which was formulated with the help of the Health Ministry, anyone returning to Israel from a red state will be required to undergo a coronavirus examination.
Those who agree to the examination will enter isolation in their residence for 10 days, with a representative visiting every day to make sure the isolation is observed. Those who refuse to undergo the examination will be transferred to dedicated hotels for coronavirus patients.
