The Hamas government announced it would be imposing weekend curfew on the Gaza Strip during the remainder of December to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The curfew will be in effect from Thursday at 6.30 pm until Sunday at 7 am and will include markets, the sea front and travel between cities and counties.
The decision that was announced by the Interior Ministry comes as a result of a surge in COVID-19 cases. According to the ministry, six people died on Tuesday from complications of the virus.
